Lector — Support
Lector is a private reading coach for iPhone. Your books stay on your device.
Contact
Email krish.adaik@gmail.com. One person reads that address, so please say which iPhone and which iOS version you are on — it usually saves a round trip.
If you would rather your report be public and trackable, open an issue instead: github.com/krishnanefx/lector-support/issues. That needs a GitHub account; email does not.
Before you write
Two things account for most reports, and both are settings outside Lector:
- Holding a word shows no definition. iOS ships with no dictionary installed. Add one in Settings › General › Dictionary, then hold the middle of the page again. Lector uses the system dictionary and has none of its own.
- Reminders never arrive. Check notifications are allowed for Lector in Settings › Notifications › Lector. Reminders are generated on your phone; no server is involved, so there is nothing to be down.
Your data
Lector has no account, no analytics and no networking code at all, so there is nothing for support to look up on your behalf and no history held anywhere but your phone. If something has gone wrong with your library, Settings › Backup › Export a Backup writes everything to a single file you control — do that before reinstalling, because deleting the app deletes its data.
